Birthday in the City

I just had to my 18th birthday! It feels strange to finally be able to say I am an adult.
I had a great time with my family and friends downtown and had some really yummy frozen yogurt, chocolate, pizza, and dessert.

One of my favorite brands is Lilly Pulitzer. Today the 2014 Spring collection was  released! I have been getting really amped up for the spring and summer time, especially with all of the winter weather here. Although I love all of her new spring collection, here are some of the items that have stood out to me and that I will be putting on my wish list!

Favorite Tv Shows

We have been getting a lot of snow here in Virginia, which means that I have been getting a lot of time off from school.  When I have lot of free time,  one of my favorite things to do is watch marathons of television series. There are some shows that I just never seem to get tired of and, these shows below are TV shows that I think great and love watching over and over.

7th heaven

7th Heaven: This is one of my favorite shows that I remember watching all throughout my childhood and  that I continue to watch now. This episodes in this show always have a great message and good moral values. Not only is this show wholesome, it is also to relatable to people from all of ages. This show is unique because it shows each of the character growing up with them  going middle school, going high school, going to college, or gaining a career. The lessons and values taught are universal.

Felicity

Felicity: The ultimate college show.  This show resolves around a young women named Felicity who follows her high school crush off to the University of New York (a fictional NYU) instead of going to Stanford   University. Each year of her college experience is shown from freshman to senior year. Even though this show aired in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the issues and situations that occur in this show are still relevant. Weird roommates, crushes, exams and love triangles are things that many teenagers and young adults still deal with currently. Also, since I will be going off to college next year this show holds a dear place in my heart.

Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls: This is a show that is very quirky and fun to watch. I love watching the life of Rory and seeing how she has such a close relationship with her mom. What makes this show amazing is the show's perfect balance between comedy and drama. Although there are conflicts that occur between the characters, the show is a still lighthearted and adorable.  All of the small traditions that they have in Stars Hallow is what makes this show unique.

Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars: The first word that comes to mind when I think of this show is addicting! Unlike the previously mentioned shows, this show is still airing. I love a good mystery and this show definitely will satisfy anyone who loves detective shows. Although this mystery is still not solved completely, there are many things that have been revealed to the audience and that are surprising. My favorite character, Spencer Hastings, is definitely the person who stands out with her witty commits and comebacks and her super preppy style.
